God to Khayangan, Temple Cleaned

In welcoming the Lunar New Year, Chinese people began to prepare by cleaning the Tay Kak Sie Temple in Chinatown area, the city of Semarang, Central Java, on Wednesday (01/18/2012).
The tradition of clean-up is done after passing ritual Giu Hok Siang Sin day before. A ritual that leads up to the gods Khayangan for four days.
After rising to a god or kongco Khayangan, then they clean all equipment prayer, covering the whole statue, a prayer, to the temple building.
The tradition of this temple cleaning only occurs within one year. Those who helped clean up the followers of Confucius and his caretaker. One of Dada (62), willingly left his job to go clean the temple.
“Hope we get the protection of life and business smoothly,” said Dada.
